This artwork is a tribute to Mia, my dog and emotional guardian during a moment of deep vulnerability in Dubai. Living with bipolar disorder, I experienced a period of confusion and instability where I couldn’t fully understand the danger around me. Mia sensed everything — my fear, my disorientation, my broken rhythm — and acted to protect me in the only way she knew how.

Her instinct, courage, and loyalty became my turning point. The painting captures her presence as a symbol of safety, love, and rebirth, reflecting how she guided me back to myself and inspired my return to art.

The piece represents unconditional love, emotional survival, and the promise of reuniting with the soul who helped save my life.

🐾 To the Pet Lovers of Dubai — I Need Your Help Bringing My Dog Home 🐾

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to the Dubai pet community with something very personal and very important.

This is Mia — my dog, my companion, and the little guardian who saved me during one of the hardest moments of my life here in Dubai.I live with bipolar disorder, and during a destabilizing episode last year, I became confused, vulnerable, and completely lost. Mia felt it before anyone else. She reacted, called attention, and protected me in the only way she knew how.

Her instinct and courage helped lead me away from real danger.She truly saved my life.

But in the chaos of that moment, I lost her travel documents and I was forced to return to Mexico without her. Leaving her behind broke my heart, and not a single day has passed without wishing to hold her again.

Now, I am finally stable, healthy, and building the life and the art career she inspired me to fight for.And in January, I will return to Dubai to bring her home where she belongs.
